Summer Camp for the Soul
Chaa Creek, Belize
Summer Camp for the Soul is a six-day, five-night women's retreat in Belize designed for rest, play, adventure, meaningful connection, and nervous-system support. It includes one welcome night at a hotel with tropical ambiance in Belize City, followed by four nights at The Lodge at Chaa Creek in the rainforest.
This is not a retreat where you have to perform, be "good" at wellness, or arrive with everything figured out. It is a thoughtfully curated experience for women who are ready to put themselves back on the list.
This retreat is for women who are tired of carrying a lot and craving more room to breathe. It is especially meaningful for women who want rest but also want adventure, connection, laughter, and a chance to reconnect with the parts of themselves that have been placed on hold.
You may be a mom, professional, caretaker, partner, business owner, helper, or simply someone who knows she needs a meaningful reset.
This retreat takes place in the Cayo District of Belize, at the award-winning eco-resort Chaa Creek, set along the Macal River and surrounded by 400+ acres of private rainforest reserve. The environment is intentionally chosen to support grounding, regulation, and restoration.
The retreat is 6 days / 5 nights, allowing enough time to truly decompress, integrate practices, and return home feeling regulated and renewed, not rushed.
No. While the retreat is hosted by a licensed psychotherapist and includes trauma-informed wellness education, reflection, and nervous-system support, it is not group therapy, individual therapy, medical treatment, or a substitute for mental-health care.
You are always invited to participate at your own pace. Sharing is optional, and no one will be pressured to disclose personal experiences.
It means the retreat is created and facilitated with emotional safety, choice, consent, pacing, and connection in mind. You will experience gentle nervous-system tools, somatic movement, reflection prompts, meaningful conversations, and practices that support rest, self-compassion, boundaries, and play.
The focus is on wellness, education, and experiential growth in a beautiful, supportive setting.
This is not a "push yourself" retreat. It is:
The retreat is led by a licensed psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience creating safe healing spaces, alongside a somatic movement specialist with over a decade of experience in mindful movement.

No. You do not need to be an athlete, an experienced traveler, or someone who regularly does adventurous activities. The retreat is about participation, curiosity, and choosing your own pace, not proving anything.
Some activities involve walking on uneven ground, stairs, water, and outdoor conditions. Please review the itinerary carefully and reach out before booking if you have questions about mobility, fitness level, medical considerations, or accessibility needs.
A detailed packing guide will be provided before the retreat. In general, plan for lightweight clothing, comfortable walking shoes, a swimsuit, sun protection, insect repellent, a reusable water bottle, rain protection, and one or two outfits for relaxed dinners.
Bring anything that helps you feel comfortable and at home, including a favorite book, journal, cozy layer, or small item that supports rest.
Yes! The Cayo District is known for being welcoming, relaxed, and safe. We provide additional support, transportation guidance, and local partnerships to ensure a smooth experience for the women attending.
Belize is a welcoming destination, and the retreat is designed with guided transportation, trusted local partners, and a thoughtfully curated itinerary. As with any international travel, awareness and common-sense precautions are important.
You will receive practical travel guidance before arrival, and we will be there to help you navigate the experience once you land.
Alcoholic beverages are not included in the retreat package. Guests who choose to drink may do so responsibly during personal time, in accordance with lodge policies and retreat expectations.
This is a wellness-centered experience, and all guests are asked to respect the safety, comfort, and boundaries of the group.
You are always welcome to honor your own needs. While the retreat offers a thoughtfully curated experience, participation is never forced. If your body needs rest, you can choose pool time, a hammock, reading, journaling, a spa treatment, or quiet time in your lodge.
This retreat is about receiving support, not adding another list of things you have to do.
Guests are responsible for their own medical needs, medications, and travel insurance. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes medical coverage and trip interruption protection.
If medical care is needed, retreat staff will assist with connecting you to appropriate local resources when possible. However, the retreat is not a medical program and cannot provide medical treatment.
The retreat is capped at eight women. Keeping the group intimate allows for meaningful connection, individualized attention, and a retreat that feels personal rather than crowded.
Cancellation, payment, and transfer policies will be provided in your retreat agreement before booking. Because accommodations, transportation, guides, and experiences are reserved in advance, portions of payments will be nonrefundable.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended to help protect your investment if unexpected circumstances affect your plans.
You will leave with beautiful memories, new friendships, and a deeper sense of what helps you feel grounded, joyful, and alive. You will also take home simple nervous-system tools, reflection practices, and a personal "Play Prescription" to help you make more room for rest, connection, and adventure in everyday life.
Most of all, you will leave with the reminder that you are allowed to take up space in your own life.
This retreat may not be the right fit if you are looking for a party-focused vacation or a packed itinerary with no room to rest.
It may also not be for you if you are not open to slowing down, trying something new, or making space for honest reflection.
This experience is designed for women who are ready to reconnect with play, adventure, and their own well-being. You do not need to have it all figured out; just a willingness to show up, be present, and give yourself permission to receive.
Spots are limited and often fill quickly. Purchasing via the "Book" page is the best way to reserve your spot, see pricing details, and access booking links.
