Our Story

Meet Your Host

I'm Whitney. A licensed psychotherapist, mom of three, lover of big adventures, and the heart behind Rockies 2 Reefs Retreats.

For nearly two decades, I have guided women through eating disorders, chronic illness, and the messy, human reality of living in a body that is carrying a lot. My approach has always been rooted in compassion, curiosity, and the belief that we all deserve spaces where we can breathe, be supported, and reconnect with ourselves.

My family and I made a big leap and moved to Belize in search of a different way of life. We wanted more time outside, more connection, more adventure, and a life that felt a little less rushed. Belize has become home in ways I never expected, and I cannot wait to share its magic with you.

I am also the person who loves planning the details that make a trip unforgettable; the hidden gems, beautiful places to stay, meals worth lingering over, and experiences that make you say, "I cannot believe this is my life." But underneath all of the planning, I am a fun-loving hippie who would choose a jungle trail, a river, a campfire, or time with my golden retrievers over a desk any day.

Summer Camp for the Soul was created for women who are ready to put themselves back on the list. It is a chance to rest, laugh, play, explore, make meaningful connections, and remember that life can still feel wildly beautiful.

As a licensed psychotherapist, I guide this experience with a trauma-informed, wellness-centered approach. Through simple nervous-system tools, reflection, and meaningful conversation, you will have space to step out of autopilot, reconnect with play, and return home feeling more grounded, clear, and connected.

Who You'll Be Retreating With

Expect to be surrounded by women who are capable, caring, and used to holding a lot. They may be mothers, professionals, partners, caretakers, leaders, or women simply ready to reconnect with themselves beyond the roles they carry every day.

No need to bring a friend. Come open to connection, and leave with women who have laughed with you on jungle trails, shared meals and meaningful conversations, and reminded you that you are not alone.

Why This Retreat Is Different

This is not a retreat where you sit in a room all day talking about your problems. It is also not a vacation that leaves you needing another vacation. It is a thoughtfully curated blend of therapist-led wellness education, gentle nervous-system support, meaningful reflection, adventure, play, rest, and genuine connection.

Every part of the experience is designed to help you step out of autopilot and into something that feels both restorative and wildly alive. There is no pressure to perform, share more than feels comfortable, or participate in a way that does not feel right. You are invited to show up exactly as you are.

Rockies to Reefs Jungle Experience

Our Mission

To design retreat experiences that blend adventure, nature, and community, allowing women to return home grounded, inspired, and renewed.

What You'll Take Back to Your Life

This is not about escaping for a few days, then returning home to the same pace and pressure. Beyond the beautiful photos and unforgettable memories, this retreat offers space to reconnect with what actually helps you feel grounded, energized, and alive.

Take home simple nervous-system tools for the moments when life feels loud, a clearer sense of what drains your energy, and a deeper understanding of what restores it. The experience creates room to reconnect with play, adventure, and the woman beneath all of the roles and responsibilities.

There may still be demands waiting at home, but they can feel different when you return with more clarity, more self-trust, and more permission to make your own needs part of the plan. The goal is not to overhaul your entire life in five days. It is to remember that rest, joy, and connection belong in it.

Why You Should Be Here

You do not have to earn rest by reaching a breaking point. The part of you that wants to laugh, explore, rest, and be cared for is still there.

Come to Belize. Let the rainforest hold the noise for a while. Let yourself play, receive support, and make space for what matters. Let this be the moment you choose yourself.
